  2. Flow developers often need to create solutions that extend beyond Novacura Flow, enabling smoother integration with external systems and enhancing functionality without modifying the ERP. Direct links to applications make this possible by allowing users to trigger app executions instantly—whether from external applications or directly through emails.

    Typical Use Cases:
    External Links in Applications:
For example, a custom menu in IFS can trigger an application execution with pre-filled input data, enabling developers to build custom apps that fill gaps or extend ERP functionality. This approach, often referred to as “extend on the outside,” allows for powerful customization without altering core…

  3. Customers have consistently asked for more flexibility when designing their portals. While Connect has already expanded the design area from 12 to 24 columns, there’s still a need for more advanced layout options to meet growing demands.

For example, many partners have requested the ability to place multiple portlets (such as a filter and a table) within a single tab using a stacked container. This and similar use cases highlight the need for a more adaptable and intuitive layout system.

    What’s Coming:
We’re introducing new features that will give users more control over portal layouts, including:

    Expanded Design Options: Greater…

  4. Currently, the image annotation has no way of determining if an image is edited or not. This means, that each time an image is either edited or not, I need to re-save it to the database. This is a performance issue since at times, I can present 20 images in a File Gallery and have no way of determining which ones I should save and which ones I should not save to the database.

  5. We have Novacura deployed on numerous handheld scanner devices running the Android client. Being able to lock out manual keyboard entry to certain input fields and require the input to come from the scanner would significantly improve the workflow for our users, and reduce the possibility of errors from manual entry as opposed to scanning the barcode directly.

  6. In Portal 2, there is currently no capability for custom buttons to directly listen to the same filters that a portlet uses. This limitation reduces flexibility and can lead to less intuitive user interactions, as demonstrated by the need for users to manually select an item in a scheduler portlet to trigger related custom button actions.

  9. Use case: we use TEST environment to maintain stable apps that are share-worthy with customers. And use DEV to continue our developments, enhancements, testing etc.

Problem: No share option for applications that are deployed to TEST.

Idea: Provide information to Hub users on app versions that are deployed to environments other than DEV, so that users can generate share links to match deployed app versions more efficiently.

  11. In portal2 we have the option to use filter with different type of operator’s, and we would like to be able to use the operator “IN” to allow multiselect in the filter like for example

    Work order

    90,91

Select both work order 90 and the 91 and filter accordingly

  12. Currently, when we initiate a list selection we can start it closed or fully extended.
Ideally, we should be able to just show the categories and extend them. Currently they are always fully extended.

If we have a large list of over 20 items, the grouping could help with navigating easier. Like this, we need to close them first to see them as an overview. There are pictures attached to illustrate this.

  13. Novacura Flow should be able to handle electronic (digital) signatures. This should support multiple signatures and allow a user to decide where each signature should be on the document. As a requirement, the customer would have to be able to upload a personal certificate that is uploaded to a keystore and should support .pdf formats.

  15. Swimlanes in Flow Connect, much like Classic, would support multiple roles and push notifications to role. Currently, Swimlanes on Connect are converted to Seeded Inboxes.

Swimlane functionality on Classic can be found here:

  16. In the current versions of Portal it is quite difficult/impossible to display multiple pins on the exact same location. We have another Map-solution which handles this quite well, and I would propose something similar be added to the map for Flow Connect. See attached screenshots.

We have used these libraries to achieve this: https://github.com/Leaflet/Leaflet.markercluster
    https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-leaflet-cluster

  17. Some customers need to run Flow Connect on their premises (on-prem) for different reasons.

    1. Data requirements – Strict data security/privacy/legal requirements where the data is not allowed to leave the premises. For these types of customers, it is essential that everything runs on-prem since they don’t want any connection to the outside networks.
      Some examples:
      • Aerospace & defense
      • Defense manufacturing
      • Healthcare
      • Government and public sector

    2. Low-latency requirements - Some customers have low-latency requirements with systems handling a high volume of transactions/executions. Typically, their existing infrastructure/external systems are already on-prem due to the exact reason. For these…

  18. Contextual Copilot
We are considering a simpler version of a contextual Copilot, aimed at enhancing user productivity by providing real-time, relevant assistance. This tool would:
    Help users complete tasks faster.
Reduce errors and friction in workflows.
    Promote discovery of hidden features.
Ultimately boost user satisfaction and adoption.

  20. Solution: Introduce an AI Step in the Designer that allows users to seamlessly integrate pre-defined AI tasks into their workflows. These tasks will enhance workflows with cognitive capabilities such as text analysis, image recognition, and predictive modeling.

    What It Does:
Users can drag and drop an "AI Step" into a workflow.
From a dropdown menu, they select from a set of AI tasks to execute within the workflow.
Incremental Rollout: The library of AI tasks will grow incrementally, with new tasks added based on user demand and technological advancements, ensuring continuous improvement of capabilities.
    Examples of AI Tasks:
    Text Processing:…
