  1. Currently, in the Portal 2 table, changes made to data source records are indicated as updated (with a green color and pencil icon), but these changes are not actually saved until the 'Update' button is clicked. This setup risks data loss if the user performs an action that refreshes the table without first hitting 'Update', and currently, there is no warning to the user that their changes will be discarded.

Proposed solution is to either Implement an auto-save functionality that automatically saves changes made to the table immediately after a value is altered. This will ensure that all changes are…

  2. In Flow Studio, users encounter a challenge where some column names appear twice in the variable list without any indication of their originating table. This lack of distinction can lead to confusion and potential errors in selecting the correct variable.

Proposed solution is to enhance the variable list display to include the source table's name along with the column name. This will enable users to easily distinguish between variables with the same name but from different tables, thereby reducing confusion and improving accuracy in variable selection. Implementing this feature could involve a format like "TableName.ColumnName" or a similar approach that…

  3. We would wish that all calendars start with the same week day. For example in the filter portlet the weeks start on a sunday and in the gantt portlet on a monday. This uniform approach would ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding the start of the week.

  4. The IFS .NET Access Provider is expected to support a timeout parameter, allowing users to configure how long a task should wait before timing out. However, this functionality is not currently implemented in Novacura's IFS10 connector. As a result, all long-running tasks time out after one minute, with no available option to extend this limit.

This limitation hampers the execution of tasks that take more than one minute to complete, making it impossible to include them in flows. This leads to inflexibility in designing complex workflows and might impede the completion of important business processes.

    We propose implementing the timeout…

  5. Flow currently requires users to download files in order to view them, a process that some customers find inconvenient. There is a clear preference for viewing image files within the flow itself without the need for downloading.

Therefore, we propose an enhancement to enable viewing of common image file types (e.g., JPEG, PNG) directly within the Flow interface. This feature will enhance the user experience, allowing quick and convenient access to image content and reducing the steps required for users to interact with image files.

  6. This request aims to enhance the capabilities of the DataGrid by allowing workflow designers to define the visibility of buttons based on data within the DataGrid. This functionality will provide greater control over user forms and user steps, enabling users to display specific fields and buttons selectively based on the data context, which is particularly useful for mobile optimization and conditional button enabling scenarios.

    Sample Use Cases:

Mobile Optimization: When designing a user form with numerous fields, buttons, and DataGrid data, the feature would enable the designer to show only certain fields on mobile devices to optimize the user experience.

  7. Currently, when right-clicking a user step in the application, users have the helpful option "Select Everything East of Item" available in the context menu. However, we propose the inclusion of additional options, specifically "Select Everything North of Item" and "Select Everything South of Item," to further enhance the usability and flexibility of the user interface.

  9. We would like to enhance user experience by introducing a new feature: 'Function Selection' in the Portal2 filter settings, allowing users to customize and tailor their preferences more effectively. We need to be able to select the function we want to use with-in the filters settings (see file attached). Specifically the "Contains" function. Although we should be able to use the filter functions as a whole.

  10. We would like “Order of attributes“ is an example where attributes have no order to be ordered alphabetically. In Read operation keys (indicated bold already at the moment) could be first in the list and the remainder of the list should be ordered alphabetically.

  12. Currently, photos captured in Web NG are automatically saved in jpg/jpeg format. However, there is a need for the ability to save images in the HEIC/HEIF file format, which offers better compression without losing image quality.

  13. Portal2 Gantt sorting by click on one of the columns presented. Example: Standard sorting is to sort by work task number. One of the columns shown is equipment object id or department and the user wants to sort by Equipent object by click on that column. (or date, or department, or priority etc)

  14. It would be helpful to have a ChatGPT Connector and templated process to use this connector. For example, using ChatGPT to create FlowScript based on natural language, personal recommendations based on Portal 2, document summarization in Portal 2. This connector should be set up to allow developers to see an example of how to use it, but be able to embed this connector into their own apps.

  15. To enhance the collaborative and content-sharing aspects of Novacura Flow Studio, we propose the integration of a user-friendly Marketplace directly within the Studio Designer. This marketplace will empower developers to effortlessly access, upload, and share content, fostering a vibrant ecosystem of tools and resources.

    Key Benefits:

    Simplified Content Discovery:

Developers can easily explore a wide range of resources available in the Marketplace, simplifying the discovery of valuable content.
    User-Friendly Content Upload:

The feature enables developers to upload their own content, whether it's templates, modules, connectors, or other assets, for others to benefit from, either for free or at a cost.…

  16. In the ever-evolving landscape of app development, speed and adaptability are paramount. Our proposal aims to empower Flow developers with a Generative AI Copilot, capable of swiftly building components of an app and facilitating real-time modifications, all through natural language conversations.

    Key Benefits:

    Rapid App Component Creation:

The Generative AI Copilot enables developers to efficiently construct app components, eliminating the need for time-consuming manual coding.
    End-to-End App Creation:

The Copilot can autonomously generate entire applications from scratch using OpenAI and Generative AI technologies, significantly reducing development timelines.
    Adaptive Modification:

Developers can request real-time adjustments to the app via natural language…

  17. We use at lot of Assertion Steps in our Flow to alert users that something went wrong. On typical example is that we usually compare the the input to a list of items. If it don’t match, the user gets a error.

The problem with Assertion Steps is that the user have to click to remove the popup window. To be more efficient, a temporary popup would sometimes be enough.

We can accomplish this using the Checkpoint-step and write text that covers the whole screen, as seen in the picture.

But it would be nice to make this popup red,…

  18. Currently, when logging into the mobile Flow application, users input their passwords into an obscured field. This feature request proposes the inclusion of an option to show the password while typing to aid users who may struggle with entering their passwords correctly when they can't see the input.

  19. Currently, when the M3 REST API token times out, there is no automatic mechanism to renew the token or log the user out to acquire a new token. This lack of automatic process can cause interruptions in the user workflow.

We propose adding a feature that would either automatically renew the M3 REST API token when it times out or automatically log the user out to acquire a new token.

  20. We would like to have the feature for reloading sub-tasks within a User Step. The subtask should be updated with data from a Machine Step, provided that the a machine Step is connected to the User Step using a Data Arrow. If so, the User Step will be updated when a sub task in the User Step is done and the User returns back to the User Step. The reload of data can also be triggered manually by swiping down. Works in Android app but not in Web client.
