1. Map Portlet in Connect

   The Map Portlet is already a valuable tool for customers using Portal 2, allowing them to visualize spatial data and navigate easily within a mapped environment. To ensure a seamless transition to Portal Connect, we are bringing this functionality forward—along with some exciting enhancements.

   The Map Portlet in Novacura Flow Portal Connect will not only retain the core features from Portal 2 but also introduce new capabilities, including:

   Interactive Map: Users can zoom, pan, and navigate smoothly to explore spatial data.
   Real-Time Markers: Display live positions of equipment, personnel, or other points of interest.
   App & Component Integration: Click on markers to trigger apps or interact with components for faster workflows.
   Customizable Layers: Add multiple layers to visualize different types of information on the map.

   These improvements will empower users to better analyze and interact with spatial data, enabling more informed decisions and enhancing operational efficiency.

2. Customizable Header/Banner Color in Portal 2

   In the current setup of Portal 2, users lack the ability to customize the color of the header/banner area, which limits the flexibility in aligning the platform's appearance with corporate branding or user preferences.

   Proposed solution is to introduce an option within the Style settings of Portal 2 that allows users to set a distinct color for the header/banner area. This feature should provide an intuitive color picker or the ability to enter hex codes, enabling precise control over the color scheme. This customization capability will enhance the visual appeal of Portal 2 and allow for better branding consistency, improving user engagement and satisfaction by providing a more personalized interface experience.

   This has been released as part of the Flow Connect portal. The color configuration is done under Branding → Brand.

3. To make the Database connection option optional for HTML portlets in Portal 2

   HTML portlets serve as a repository for exhibiting non-dynamic content in portal 1. However, in portal 2, it requires a select query and a database connection.
   This limitation results in a less intuitive experience when working with them.
   It would be greatly beneficial to restore this functionality in portal 2 for client applications, allowing for a smoother transition and enhanced user experience.
